Patrick Murney is an Actor, Director, Musician, & Producer based in New York City and working everywhere.
Patrick Murney was born and raised in New York City. A passionate sports fan and dedicated basketball player with a natural ear for music, Patrick spent his early days joining pick up games and absorbing hip hop in it’s Golden Age in the greatest city in the world.
His passion and creativity for music and the game soon spread to everything he loved. Composing and performing songs in his classroom hallways, he soon caught the attention of a high school teacher that directed his energy to the stage where he flourished.
Patrick’s knack for making people laugh, passion for writing, and natural stage presence proved essential in acquiring his BFA from Syracuse University. He spent four years sharpening his skills, studying internationally and hustling.
After graduation in 2009, he immediately hit the ground running starring in White Noise: The Musical in New Orleans, LA and then was quickly picked up again in Chicago in 2011. In 2010 he booked his first television show: Law & Order. Over the course of the next decade, Patrick mastered his craft and expanded his career with notable roles in hit productions including HBO’s Mare of Easttown, Netflix’s Seven Seconds, and NBC’s The Blacklist.
Patrick’s origins in basketball and hiphop remain close to his heart through his music under the pseudonym ItsDaEarnz, a childhood nickname given to him on the court. The name stems from his last name; Murney; which was shortened to Murnz, which quickly became the namesake that spotlights one of Patrick’s driving principles: progress. If growth & progress is being made then…ItsDaEarnz.
